There are so many tools you can use to help bring calm to your family, support your well-being and family. This is a selection of my favourite free tips for you to try with your family. Enjoy and I hope you can create your family calm.


The benefits for meditation and visualisation for children are many. Meditation is a way to focus the mind and to relax it too. Meditation focuses on breathing, with other elements such as mindfulness, body focus, colours and more. A visualisation is more using a a picture or  a story, through imagination which is easier for children to follow and focus on.

Benefits include the reduction of the stress hormone (cortisol) and increase of the relaxation  response. Feel good hormones of endorphins are released creating a positive feeling for the child. Children feel revived and energised afterwards (or may fall asleep from my experience!).

Flower Essences

Flower Essences are a solution discovered by Dr Bach. They consist of 38 flower essences and work on an emotional support.

My top tip are the Bach Rescue Remedy and the Nighttime version which has the addition of white chestnut. I use the sprays with my children before school, pop drops in water bottles and use the night time spray before bedtime (and during the process!)
