FREE 21 Day video program

Is this you?

Do you want to create family calm – rather than frazzle, overwhelm or arguements?

Do you want some ideas, tools and techniques to support your family & create family calm?

Do you want some space for calm for you as a parent?

Tools to engage your children in gentle activities?

Then this free video Mini-program is for you!

Why 21 Days?

It’s said we need to practise and do something for 21 days to form a natural habit, so this program is a daily tool for you to use to help build your own family calm – through reactions, meditations, mindfulness, activities, tools and tips.

Each day I will share a video with a tip or tool for you to do that day. It will either be for yourself or to do with your children.

The aim is at the end of the 21 days that you will have practised these tools and have a bagful of tools to use every day as you need. That they will come your main response or help your holiday create positive happy memories.

What will you learn?

Each day you will receive an email with a video of me sharing one of 21 key tools that I use to support family calm. It might be mindfulness or meditation or  essential oils or crystals or breathing exercises.

The videos are often 5 minutes in length, so easy to fit in to your busy family life (think of the kettle boiling!)

That’s me in a summary – making tools easy for you to access them and fit them into your daily life! Its no point having a goal of 30 mins meditation a day if you can’t even fit in 5 minutes at the moment – so lets get started and aim to help you achieve your family calm.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or wins or questions! rom@createfamilycalm.co.uk

love

Half Term Holidays

Mum and son having fun

It’s the weekend that marks the start of February half-term holidays.

The kids aren’t too exhausted this term, they aren’t over excited due to the man in the red suit or the prospect of 6 whole weeks of holidays.

For once it feels like a nice chill-out week. Plus the sun has been out sharing its heat already – the prospect of warm days again!

So I thought I’d share my ebook that I wrote last summer, in case you wanted any gentle activities to fill a day. There’s lots for the outdoors and playful things and crafty things for the indoors so. So whatever the weather there’s something to do click here: 101 things to do in summer with kids

One way to use it is to write the numbers on a piece of paper and cut up (or get children to do this – sneaky handwriting practice!). Then pop in a jar or envelope and pull one out whenever you need some inspiration!

I hope you enjoy this half-term holidays. Don’t forget to check out the FREEBIE page for meditations for you and your balance and calm.

Plus there’s a free 21 day To Create Family Calm when you sign up for my newsletters

Hope you enjoy some warmth, blue sky and sun too

The School Holiday Bear – “groan”

In the last week of school , before the summer holidays began my daughter came home clutching a cute hand-sized bear and a (groan)… green A4 book from school. A lovely idea as “travel ted” does lots of fun activities with you you take photos and your darling child gets to write all about the fabulous summer they’ve had in said book… Read More

Pokemon Go or No?

Pokemon Go or No?

Pokemon Go – it seems to be the activity of the summer holiday – perfect timing to get the kids out for a walk. Or it is driving you mad? We’ll have a poll on facebook!

Am I talking a different language?

For those of you without school kids or a adult-child partner, Pokemon is a games app on your phone, where you collect cartoon characters and visit locations to gain balls and bonuses to capture the characters. Our town has got about 10 Pokestops so its a great bribe to get kids out to get life’s essentials of  bread, milk and chocolate!

Pokemon Go – Yes Camp!

  • For me its been fabulous as just before the kids broke up my son’s hair desperately needed cutting and the fact there were pokestops & a gym by the barbers was enough of a bribe
  • Nipping out to town for essentials in the holidays has been well received by the kids, with a bribe of who holds Mummy’s phone to collect the balls!
  • School shoe shopping even happened without strops due to dropping a few pokestops in the mix
  • Going out as a family, both the “boys” (38 years age difference!) love going to all the pokestops at parks, gardens and towns.
  • The boys have been doing regular long walks on a Saturday via Pokestops and the gyms (exercise & Mummy alone time – double win!)
  • Every evening my son is very excited to see Dad when home & hear about his day (& Pokemon’s he’s collected)
  • Lots of male bonding!
  • So we’ve got out with a lot less stress and strops so far this holiday!

Pokemon Go – No Camp

  • The incessant chat about Pokemons, their evolving, who’s got what and so on! Makes my head ache
  • Losing control of my phone when out
  • Did I mention the incessant information being shared verbally?!
  • Phone battery disappearing in an hour when out due to having to stay on to incubate eggs!
  • Sibling arguing about who caught the last pokemon or used how many balls or swished the last pokestop
  • Husband having head in phone even more than usual

What do you think? How has it impacted your family?

I must admit overall its been more beneficial that a stress, so I’m voting Yes – why not share your thoughts here: https://www.facebook.com/createfamilycalm/?fref=ts

share your “Pokemon Go or No” points and get them off your chest! At tleast electronic game does involve getting out of the house and walkign around  – so its better than other electronic equipment and games!
